Yahoo: About to Become a Whole Lot Friendlier
Yahoo has unleashed a series of changes recently that will improve it’s visibility and competitive position against Google. From IndexTools, to AMP, to the broadly-based content network, to expanding its social networks, all should improve the likelihood that they’ll be around for a few more years as a strong media contender.
The “Yahoo Open Strategy” is something that most media giants will be forced to pursue in order to continue to be in a position of capturing data related to users and generating ad revenue.
Expect similar changes from Microsoft over the course of 2008.
